Masao Shiizu

What were the reasons for deciding to accept them?

I decided to visit a Vietnamese sending organization because I thought it would be a good opportunity to secure future talent. I was surprised to find that they had a much deeper understanding of Japanese culture and customs than I had heard beforehand. When I actually spoke with them, I found that they were polite, could greet me in Japanese, and most importantly, had a strong desire to work in Japan. I became confident that they would do well at our company as well.

What were the benefits of accepting it?

What impressed me most was how well-regarded he was on-site. He is straightforward and honest, and he shows respect for his elders. He naturally behaved like a learner without us having to explain anything, so his seniors were happy to teach him. He got along with everyone without any problems and started working smoothly on-site.

What measures or precautions do you take after accepting them?

At first glance, someone who speaks fluent Japanese might seem more appealing during an interview. However, what I value most is personality. I ask them to talk about their daily lives, what they're interested in, and other aspects of their lives in their native language. This allows them to speak without excessive nervousness, and their true personality comes through. From among them, I hire those who seem to have a high level of teamwork ability.

Please send a message to companies planning to implement this system.

For those who want to work in Japan for a long time, Specified Skilled Worker system must seem like a great opportunity. I also think this is an advantage for companies, as it provides an entry point for accepting and training people who want to work hard in the construction industry. I believe that if we seriously engage with them, they will surely contribute to the company.
