Origin: Vietnam
I learned about ductwork at university and decided to come to Japan.
When I was little, I was sickly and had to go to the doctor almost every day. My parents were very kind, and I remember they always bought me sweets on the way home after I got an injection at the hospital. While I was studying at a university in Vietnam, I learned about ductwork and became interested in it, which led me to choose my current job.
With the support of my father, mother, and three older siblings, I'm off to Japan!
Learn the job by working as an apprentice in factories and on the job site.
I was working in a factory attached to the company, doing simple tasks such as cutting and assembling ducts. After about two months, I went out to the field, where I learned the job by assisting senior colleagues, handing them tools, and helping them with their work.
I can now read blueprints, and the difficulty of the work has increased!
In the factory work, I progressed from handling relatively easy-to-assemble straight pipes to S-shaped pipes, and the difficulty level increased. Also, as I became more familiar with the work on site, I was entrusted with tasks such as installing ducts at high altitudes using aerial work platforms. By my third year, I was able to read blueprints, and as my abilities increased, my confidence grew.
I took the Level 2 Certificed Skilled Worker Certification Exam and passed with flying colors! Aiming for even greater heights!
In my fourth year, I challenged the Level 2 Building sheet metal work Certificed Skilled Worker exam and was able to pass. I had a certain level of confidence in my practical skills, but I was a little worried about reading and writing Japanese. I thought, "I probably won't be able to do it...", so I was really surprised and felt great when I passed. Obtaining the qualification allowed me to be entrusted with the role of foreman on site, but looking back now, I think I still had a long way to go in terms of skill.
I want to expand my field of activity as a craftsman!
I took The Specified Skills (i) Evaluation Exam for Construction Industry for "Building sheet metal work (Duct sheet metal work Work)". I passed and obtained Specified Skilled Worker (i) residence status.
Currently, my father is injured and unable to work. That's why I want to work hard in Japan to support my family!
I want to take a family trip to Japan someday. I want to show my dad and mom Tokyo Tower and Osaka Castle!
A message from senior employee Kobayashi
His father, who works in agriculture, was injured at work, which meant he had to return to Vietnam unexpectedly. He truly loves his family, so it must have been a very shocking event for him. He says he still wants to work hard in Japan for his father's sake, since his father can no longer work. I want to support him with all my might as his caretaker.
